A war,
at some point in the future, is a nearly inevitable prospect, no matter
where you live. That means it’s crucial that you understand not only
what it would mean for a war to occur in your area, but also that you
understand what you should do if that war does occur.
By understanding how to
prepare yourself
before the war occurs, you’ll be ready for the event if and when it
ever does. After all, you definitely don’t want your family to be stuck
suffering from a war that they have no control over. Make sure you
prepare for war to reduce this possibility.
One
of the first things that you want to do is create a stockpile of
everything you could possibly need if you became cut off from the rest
of the world. That stockpile should include a large number of things but
there are some that will be more important than others, and that means
you need to make sure you have those items in larger quantities.
So what should you be including in your stockpile so that your family is going to be safe and protected no matter what may come?
The
most important thing in your stockpile is going to be food and water.
You need to have enough so that if you are cut off from the rest of your
city or town you’ll have enough to get your entire family through. This
is going to take up a lot of space in your stockpile and that means you
need to have a dedicated area where you can easily store it.
Make
sure you are stockpiling foods that are perishable rather than a lot of
microwave or even stovetop meals. You need to operate on the assumption
that you will have no electricity and that means only items you can eat
as they are (the majority of your stockpile) or items that can be
cooked over a fire.
There
are a large number of products that should be part of your survival
gear stockpile. These would include things like knives, rope, hiking
boots, canvas or tents and anything else you might need if you had to
hike through the wilderness. This is entirely possible if a war occurs
and especially if that war starts to get ugly quickly.
You
may need to simply disappear with the rest of your family and make sure
that you are able to survive in the wilderness. There are a lot of
tools you’re going to want and you’ll need to make sure that most of
them can fit into a knapsack before you go as well.
The
best thing to do with your survival gear is to find the most important
items, things like a compass, a large knife for cutting branches or meat
if you go hunting, rope, canvas and non-perishable food and packing it
into a heavy duty knapsack. You’ll want a bag for each member of your
family, but make sure that it’s the right ...
